According to reports in the Sun and a slew of status updates on Facebook, one of the most famous "College Dropouts" in the world, Kanye West, has decided to pull a James Franco and go back to school. West allegedly flew into London last Wednesday to meet with Professor Louise Wilson, course director at London's Central Saint Martins—alma mater of industry luminaries including Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Stella McCartney, and Phoebe Philo—to interview for a place on the college's MA Fashion degree program.
A source tells the Sun: "Kanye spends a lot of time with fashion students and often hooks up with Central's arty pupils when he is in London... Now that he has been interviewed the school's board will have to decide whether to allow him to start the MA fashion course later this year." A few Facebook updates claim that Kanye also visited the London College of Fashion (LCF).
Wilson, who's legendary in the industry for being both a star-maker as well as a ruthless make-students-cry professor, now holds Kanye's fashion fate in her hands.
"Imagine crits with Kanye," one Facebook wall post reads—referring to critique sessions that CSM MA students have one-on-one with Wilson. "Yeah yeah sure that's a nice dress... But Alexander McQueen made the best dress of aaaalll time! The BEST DRESS OF ALL TIME!"
