Meanwhile, at the Balenciaga showroom in Paris, where editors and writers are getting their first looks at the fall 2011 collection up-close-and-personal, the New York Times' Eric Wilson spots a new product category. "In one corner of the showroom, a display of accessories included a new addition to the Balenciaga line: dog leashes and collars in fluorescent rose, yellow, green and orange versions, made of calfskin and vegetal leather. About a year ago, Nicolas Ghesquiere, the designer, acquired a dog, a chocolate Labrador named Fred. The leashes will cost from $275 to $295, as will the collars." [On the Runway]
