Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have just narrowly escaped the charges of tax evasion filed against them. According to the Daily Mail: "Fashion duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will not stand trial for an alleged $1.4billion tax evasion, a court in Italy heard this afternoon. The designers, who count Naomi Campbell, Kylie Minogue and Lady Gaga among their celebrity fans, have been under investigation for the past three years. Had the pair been found guilty, they would have faced a jail sentence of up to three years and been liable to pay the full amount in unpaid taxes and fines. But today Judge Simone Luerti decided that there was not enough evidence to take the pair to trial, closing the case." [Daily Mail]
