FINALLY: My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding is Coming to America in 2012

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Earlier this year, we got really jealous of the UK because they were just kicking off their second season of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, a reality show that chronicles the wedding planning of the super-elaborate, way over-the-top, bling-a-ling gypsy and traveller weddings that take place across the pond.

Well, looks like all our coveting finally paid off.

According to a report in today's Business Insider, cable network TLC will be bringing My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding to the United States sooner rather than later—the deal is "in development," so we suspect that means the show will arrive on our shores either late this fall or early next year.

We don't know about you, but we're really really really really excited about it.
