There's so much whoop-dee-doo over the imminent royal nuptials—even here in the fashion world, everyone seems to be waiting with bated breath for... something. Truth be told, we're not sure what we're all hanging around for. It's not like the royal couple has done anything surprising in, oh, the last ten years they've been dating. The most exciting thing we can come up with is: What will princess-to-be Kate Middleton wear? Seriously? Even the rumors are a complete snooze-a-thon (for chrissakes, please Kate will you just wear a McQueen gown? Come. On.). Hair up or hair down? Blah blah blah. Really, we're starting to think that the most exciting thing about the royal wedding is the funny merch.
Anyway, looks like we're not the only ones completely underwhelmed by all the royal wedding preparations. NBC is soooo over it too. Check out this rumor in today's Page Six. For some reason, we find this completely LOL hilarious.
NBC Universal has cut a number of pretaped segments from its "aggressive and comprehensive coverage" of the royal wedding because insiders fear Prince William and Kate Middleton are "too boring," according to sources.· NBC trimming royal hoopla [NY PostInsiders told Page Six that some news producers, editors and on-air talent will head to London later than previously scheduled because brass have scaled back the number of pretaped packages to run before the April 29 nuptials—including stories of the royal lovebirds' childhood and their families.
"The US public's interest was not what they thought," sniped an NBC insider. "Kate and Prince William are both really boring."
