VIDEO: Old Spice Replaces Isaiah Mustafa With a New Tough Guy

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Watch out Old Spice Guy Isaiaha Mustafa—looks like there's a new tough-guy in town. Check out the brand-new Old Spice ads featuring a new actor. While the spots still revolve around the same theme as Mustafa's iconic campaign—i.e. rah-rah-rah I'm a tough, but cool, manly man—ad agency Wieden + Kennedy have decided to replace Mustafa in favor of a less-well-known face. Which actor do you prefer in the ads? Mustafa or the new guy?

UPDATE: We received this note from Old Spice HQ: "The DangerZone campaign is currently airing outside the US market. The Old Spice campaign currently running in the US is the Fresh Collection work with Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa which began airing in Feb 2011."
