Here's some residual royal wedding trivia on a slow Friday afternoon: the UK's First Lady Samantha Cameron (that's SamCam to the British press) wore Aldo's "Samella" platform sandals to the royal wedding at Westminster Abbey this morning. Like 'em? Well, you're in luck, because the neutral stiletto is currently marked down to $59.98 from $90.
You know, we're kind of digging the UK Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife's laid-back approach to formal dressing. Between SamCam's totally affordable, non-pretentious footwear and David Cameron's getting in trouble for intending to buck the dress code with a "boring suit" (he later caved and wore tails, just like everybody else), they don't seem like they're drinking the Kool-Aid. Which is refreshing because, well, we'll be the first to admit when it comes to the royal wedding, we're pretty much drowning in it.
