Princess Beatrice, one of our new favorite royals ever, has decided to auction off the crazy curlicue Philip Treacy hat she wore to the royal wedding, with all proceeds from the sale going to UNICEF.
So far, there's been one bid—for £5,000!—and it was made by UNICEF's UK Ambaassador Duncan Bannatyne (want to see Bannatyne "wearing" Princess Beatrice's hat? Photoshop fun composite photo after the jump...).
"Yup that’s right I’ve just bid £5,000 on Princess Beatrice’s hat," Bannatyne says. "Whatever anyone thinks of the hat it’s fantastic that Princess Beatrice is doing this for UNICEF and Children in Crisis. Good for her! I’ve seen the life-saving work that UNICEF does for children in Bolivia and Haiti and every penny raised really will change children’s lives around the world. I’d encourage everyone to get bidding to raise as much money as possible; for once I don’t mind if I don’t walk away with the deal."
