Besides debating the technicalities of what a fictional Andy Samberg would wear in outer space, the viabilities of flying in a cape vs. flying with a jet pack, and why Samberg named his first pet turtle Squirt, Bert from Sesame Street also totally schools Samberg on important socks throughout history. Yup.

Bert: If you could wear a sock from any time period, what sock would that be?

Samberg: I'm gonna say a modern-day sock. Why fight progress?

Bert: Because! Because! There's a whole treasure trove of socks throughout history... If I could wear any, I would wear fifth century puttees. Very popular in Europe in the fifth century, and very comfortable too.
