Package-Boosting Underwear Company 2(x)ist Launches Swimwear

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Are those the new 2(x)ist swim trunks or are you just happy to see me? Just kidding. We don't mean to sexually harass you this early on a Thursday morning before a long weekend, but 2(x)ist—that men's undergarments company that's best-known for its profile-boosting undies—has just announced it's launching swimwear for next spring. The new collection will comprise 11 styles priced from $90 to $150 and will be sold at department stores including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdale's.

“We’ll be featuring styles from our most popular underwear silhouettes with a contour pouch in the swimwear. It helps the fit and it looks sexy—not like styles you typically see in [men’s] swimwear,” creative director Jason Scarlatti told WWD. Look for 2(x)ist's new, enhanced silhouettes on the Miami swim fashion week runways this July—and on a beach near you next spring.
