Reality TV star Kim Kardashian reveals in this week's People magazine that she and six-month-long boyfriend Kris Humphries have decided to tie the knot. To seal the deal, Humphries presented Kardashian with a 20.5 Carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring—which the New Jersey Net co-designed with Hollywood red-carpet fave Schwartz.
"It's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen," Kardashian told People magazine, "It's perfect."
The enormous ring comprises three stones: a 16.5-carat emerald-cut center stone that's bookended with two 2-carat trapezoid-cut diamonds.
People magazine reports:
"In high school I went to Macy's and bought this fake ring, my 'perfect' ring, and this is almost the exact same," she says, staring down at the 20-plus-carat gem Humphries designed with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, a longtime Kardashian friend.Kardashian and Humphries have no intentions for a long engagement—they're planning a big wedding this summer, after which Kardashian plans on moving to New Jersey to be with Humphries during his season. Will we be seeing a new Keeping Up With the Kardashians: New Jersey Edition? Stay tuned. The 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone is flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids. Wanting something distinctly her own ("Khloe's is radiant cut," she says of her sister's ring), the reality star loves the classic design. Humphries had simpler requirements: "I just knew I wanted it to be big!"
