Animals in Clothes in Movies

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Last night, we hightailed it to our local Loews to catch a Thursday night showing of The Hangover Part II (BTW, it was awesome). If you've already seen it, or are about to go see it, check out the monkey in the movie—he's so styling in his little denim vest and harem pants outfit. In honor of The Hangover Part II release, the folks over at Vulture have assembled a pretty exhaustive slideshow of animals wearing clothes in movies. Yup. "Whose enjoyment of a movie has not automatically been heightened by the presence of a clothed animal?" writes the Vultures. "Seals in tuxes, apes in Hawaiian shirts, dogs with sweaters: They make you feel as warm inside as these bundled-up animals are on the outside." Check it out. [Vulture]
