Just in time for sale season—which traditionally starts in the United States months ahead (now) of Europe and Asia (July)—Barneys has announced that its e-commerce site Barneys.com will ship abroad to 90 countries including the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, China, and Macau. Iconic the world-round for its super-edited luxury and high-end fashion collections, is Barneys.com going global about to give Net-a-Porter.com a run for its money?
"Barneys has always been a destination for International tourists and it is a natural step to offer our web services to the rest of the world," said Chief Merchant and EVP Daniella Vitale in a release. "Barneys has incredible global brand recognition, but we could only service here in the US. International shipping has fundamentally changed that reach."
