Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
How do star bloggers do it—the travel, the blogging, the negotiations, the endorsements, the filming, the administrative work, the deals? They have people—agents and managers, mostly. Bryanboy points out:
Many bloggers are now represented by different agencies—Scott Schuman is managed by Jed Root. Garance is managed by Walter Schupfer Management. Susie Bubble has a literary agent and my gurls Rumi and Julia Frakes are both represented by Next Models. I’ve been approached by several agencies in the past but sometimes, you have to go with who you think is the right fit for you and what you want to do in the future. To that end, Bryanboy's inked a representation deal with CAA—a talent agency that covers all sorts of ground, not just literary, modeling, or photography.
I’ve signed a contract last week with one of the world’s high-profile agencies, CAA. They represent major people like Oprah, Julia Roberts, Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, Zac Efron, Blake Lively. They also represent music stars like Christina Aguilera, Mariah, Justin Timberlake, Usher, among many, many, many others. We're excited to see what sort of new projects develop in Bryanboy land. Congratulations!
