Introducing Racked National's new travel feature, Summer Fridays, where we show you snapshots from the fabulous vacations of fabulous people in the fashion industry. So come with us, take a little breather on this Friday afternoon, and let us whisk you away to a faraway locale.
This week's Summer Fridays postcard is from the gals of Porter Grey who traveled to St. Barth recently. Kristen O'Neill and Alexandra O'Neill are the duo behind the label. The sisters hail from Denver, but both studied on the East Coast. Kristen went to Harvard and Alexandra graduated from NYU.
Racked: Where did you stay?
Porter Grey: This past March, we headed down to St. Barth and stayed at this amazingly decorated small hotel, La Banane. The lobby was this amazing mix of Danish modern furniture with 1970's accents. The rooms had these beautiful poster beds with mosquito netting.
Racked: What do you love about St. Barth?
Porter Grey: One of our favorite things to do was have lunch at the Eden Rock Hotel and watch the planes take off from the airport that has arguably better waterfront property then any hotel on the island. To us, the best of St. Bart are the small beach inlets, Maya's Carribbean-French infused food, and having the option to ride shotgun in the six passenger airplane that brings you to the international airport.
