Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Here at Racked, we're pretty tunnel-visioned and don't have a whole lot of other interests outside of fashion and beauty—this is what happens when you listen to your mentors and make your hobbies your job, alas—but one of our non-sartorial obsessions is the world of interiors, and the independent magazine Apartamento. The two-year old Barcelona-based publication dubs itself an "everyday life interiors magazine"—a refreshing stray from the ultra-styled home magazines that ordinarily line the walls of our local Universal News. This month's Apartamento profiles two homes of great fashion personalities: the Finnish homebase of Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi, above, of the namesake Vuokko label and formerly of Marimekko, and stylist Masha Orlov, whose client roster includes campaigns for Issey Miyake and Guess as well as editorial work for magazines such as V, Purple, Dazed & Confused, Spin, and Vogue Russia. The current issue of Apartamento costs $22.
