Today in unlikely East-Coast-West-Coast bedfellows: Kate Spade, the ultra-feminine, quirky women's lifestyle brand, has tapped Emily Current and Merritt Elliott (founders of Current/Elliott, the cult Los Angeles-based denim label) to create a capsule collection of handbags that will be sold in Kate Spade stores starting this August.
