If 70s-style tan lines irk you to no end, and wearing a bathing suit that stays on with an adhesive in the water sounds like a good idea to you, then hopefully you were at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami to see the Perfect Tan Bikini runway show. In case you missed it, or are just as perplexed about this as we are, the FAQ section of their website tackles the tough ones. You can "tan outside the lines," as they say, by removing the straps to the swimsuits, since they "aren't needed because waterproof adhesive on the inside is activated by heat."
So what happens if it's cold outside? Or if you're not sitting by the ocean in St. Barths, but instead freezing in the always-chilly Jersey shore? The site promises that the adhesive, called Stick2U, won't come off because it's patented not to. But then we started thinking that the straps are already so small anyway that any tan line they make won't matter compared to the white boobs you're going to have from the actual bikini. One thing's for sure: The models seem to be having a blast walking down that catwalk and yanking off their straps, even though the website compares removing the bikini to "taking off a band-aid."
