Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail isn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Actress Anjelica Huston is our first Buyer's Remorse subject to have won an Oscar. Her award for Prizzi's Honor also made her the Academy's first third generation winner, joining her father director John Huston and grandfather actor Walter Huston. When Huston was recently promoting her upcoming, much buzzed-about, NBC musical drama, Smash, we got a chance to ask her if she had any buyer's remorse stories. We were surprised by her candid response, particularly as we always think of how she rocked that Morticia costume in The Addams Family.
Racked: What have you had buyer's remorse about?
Anjelica Huston: Clingy dresses that I think will look absolutely fantastic if lit properly—and then you get them home and you go, "What possessed me?" It's those ones that look great in the shop and then you get them home and suddenly you look like sausage casing. And you don't want to sit down in them or—stand up!
