Wow, we can't believe it's actually, finally happening. Way back in February, preview images of Lauren Conrad's new label, Paper Crown, debuted on the internet. Yes, this is the clothing line that was meant to feature on Conrad's new MTV reality show—the show that was shot and canned at the last minute because, rumor has it, it was just that boring.
Anyway, WWD has the details on Paper Crown's imminent—Saturday!—launch. Described by Conrad as a "collection for those who like to play dress up in a grown up world," the collection comprises dresses and tailored separates priced from $59 to $458. WWD reports that "Conrad uses herself as the main source of inspiration for the new collection." Yes, it's always good news when designers—especially celebrity designers—say they are their own inspiration. Yup, bodes well.
Paper Crown will arrive in stores this Saturday and will sold at Nordstrom, Ron Herman, Fred Segal, and Planet Blue.
