Chanel No. 19 was given its number in honor of Gabrielle Chanel's birthday—August 19th. And this year, on August 19th, a new iteration of the classic 1970s fragrance will arrive at a Chanel counter near you. Chanel No. 19 Poudre retains the original's "light, velvety, floating feeling" and imbues it with a new autumn freshness—infusing it with crisp green notes and a powdery iris.
