Rumor of the Day: Raf Simons Going to Work For Kanye West; Veronique Branquinho Taking the Reins at Jil Sander

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Yesterday, Dazed Digital Commissioning Editor David Hellqvist tweeted a rumor that's been making the rounds in Europe: that Raf Simons is on the cusp of bailing from Jil Sander to work with Kanye West on his new label (which is currently being crafted in London in collaboration with Louise Goldin and under the watchful eye of Central Saint Martins doyenne Louise Wilson). As for the follow-up question—namely, who'd take the reins at Jil Sander following Simons' departure? Everyone's saying Veronique Branquinho.

How likely is this scenario? We're not sure. But we're excited to see if any of this unfolds.
