EXCLUSIVE: DC Shoes Co-Founder Ken Block's Gymkhana Video

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Ken Block is a man of many talents. He started DC Shoes with Damon Way in 1994. However this founder is not just a suit sitting in a corner office. Block is an accomplished rally driver who has a couple of X Games medals to prove his skills.

Block is also at the forefront of promoting gymkhana in the US market. You may be thinking what in the world is gymkhana. Don't worry, we did too. It's essentially a timed race where a driver goes through an obstacle course while doing perilous 360 degree spins around a guy riding a segway and other insane car tricks. His Gymkhana Three video from last year went viral and has over 34 million views. Trust us, it's pretty sick.

This afternoon DC Shoes will be releasing Block's Gymkhana Four video from his 2011 world tour. The tour started in early July in Vienna, went to Los Angeles later in the month, and will conclude on September 3rd in Melbourne. We'll update you when the video goes live. In the mean time, we at Racked got our hands on an exclusive highlights video, see above. It's about a minute and a half—just enough to whet your appetite. Prepare to be mesmerized.
