Julianne Moore Reprises Her Role as Face of Talbots for Fall 2011

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Screen beauty Julianne Moore reprises her role as face of Talbots this fall—Moore was formerly the face of Talbots back in spring 2010—in a Hollywood glamour-inspired campaign shot by David Sims.

Speaking of Julianne Moore, have any of you seen her new movie Crazy Stupid Love? We saw it over the weekend and were pretty surprised how fashion-heavy it is—kind of. No big spoilers here or anything, but Steve Carell's character Cal's makeover in the film is a slick tour through a bunch of menswear stores—we love the motto that Ryan Gosling's character Jacob makes Cal repeat over and over again: "I am better than the Gap." And Jessica, the babysitter in the movie—important character—is played by Analeigh Tipton, who (we didn't know this before seeing the movie) was the third runner-up in cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model.
