Opening Ceremony Goes Argentinian

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Retail arbiter of cool Opening Ceremony has announced its 2012 featured country—an honor previously held by countries including Hong Kong, Brazil, Germany, the UK, LA (okay, LA isn't a country, we know), Japan and France. And, drumroll please, Opening Ceremony's theme nation for 2012 will be Argentina. The OC blog says: "Over the next year we will be bringing you the most exciting and beautiful things Argentina has to offer. From one-off mercado originals, to the best cafés in hidden barrios, travel tips and, of course, all the best mens and womenswear we found along the way." [Opening Ceremony Blog]
