Project Runway Scholars

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Now, Heidi Klum has a whole nother list of prizes to rattle off for Project Runway designer hopefuls. Lifetime just announced that they'll be instituting a Project Runway Scholarship Challenge, which will award $35,000 total to six winners, and will be judged by season seven winner SethAaron Henderson. To apply, you have to submit photos and sketches of your work and write an essay answering possibly the best question ever: "If a Lifetime Original Movie was made about your life, what would your character be wearing; and why?"
