Behind the Scenes at Heidi Klum's Shine Fragrance Photoshoot

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

See the super thing about Heidi Klum that makes her the supermodel-iest of all the supermodels is that she's like a superhuman machine. She's got four children (that's, like, four full-time jobs in an of itself), hosts a hit fashion reality TV show, has her own women's lifestyle website for AOL, designs a jewelry line for QVC, created a collection of shoes and activewear for New Balance, and more. How does she find time to pose for photoshoots—like this one, for her brand-new fragrance Shine.

“Sophia Loren once said ‘beauty is in the eye of the beheld’ and I couldn’t agree more," Klum said about her new scent. "Shine isn’t about something that we see, it’s about the way it makes us feel—playful, sensual and radiant. I realize I’m lucky and that I have so much happiness in my life. My fragrance, Shine, is to be worn by all women who embrace life."

Klum's new fragrance—the name of which we think is funny if only because it totally pillages the name of one of the AOL's biggest competitors in the women's lifestyle web-o-sphere, Yahoo's Shine—is a floriental, which means it mixes mandarin and pear with spicy peppercorn for topnotes, features a floral mimosa, lily-of-the-valley, and sunflower mids, and dries down to a sweet vanilla, tonka bean, and musk base.

The campaign, peek above, was shot by Nabil Elderkin in Cancun, Mexico. Shine by Heidi Klum will arrive in stores this September.
