Well, it's about time someone collaborated to create a great affordable designer collection for plus-size women. Here's one we can totally get behind:
Design duo Clements Ribeiro has inked a deal with plus-size retailer Evans (Evans makes clothes in sizes 14 to 32, tall and petite, footwear in e to eee widths, and lingerie in band sizes up to 50 and cup sizes up to H; it's UK-based, but available to order Stateside too!) to create a line of apparel that will arrive in stores next spring.
"Suzanne and I are very happy to confirm we are creating a line for Evans to be launched for spring-summer 2012," says Inacio Ribeiro, who with Suzanne Clements, are the creative brains behind Clements Ribeiro. "Fashion is waking up to diversity and acknowledging the different needs of women of all shapes, colors, and sizes. It is a very exciting opportunity for us to use our design skills, in order to create beautiful clothes for a market that has been largely neglected by the higher end of the industry. We are creating fantastic prints, great shapes, and great knitwear, of course."
