Would you spend $999 for a piece of jewelry designed by Jessica Simpson? What if it had diamonds on it? Today, WWD announced that—perhaps inspired by her "impending nuptials"—she's gone ahead and designed a collection for Firestar Diamond called "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend," which will be sold exclusively at Zales in October in 400 stores.
Included in the collection will be pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, and most likely a ton of things that are heart-shaped, with prices ranging from $79 to $999. So far, we know that there will be a rose gold butterfly and white gold heart pendants for $199, and sterling silver crosses for $79—all with diamonds! And in a statement that seems to contradict itself, Simpson says: "I love that a piece of fine jewelry can be passed down from generation to generation. I cherish the pieces that were given to me, so it is really special to be able to design my own."
