For his spring 2012 show, Jason Wu sent his classic, fit-for-a-lady-who-doesn't-spill dresses down the runway, as well as a couple of pairings that were quite the opposite. While a neon full gown was arguably one of the show's highlights, several numbers that consisted of hot pants and raincoats were sprinkled in like April showers.
We headed to show—far away from the tents at Center548—during yesterday's unseasonably warm afternoon, and found that it was pretty hot inside. But the chairs sort of looked like fancy patio furniture fit for the Upper East Side, which just so happened to mesh with the more well-to-do looks of the collection. The clubbish music that played while the models sauntered down the shingled runway, though, lent itself more to those hotpants. Have a look at some of our favorite pieces, from both categories, after the jump.
Here's 12 of our favorite looks from the collection, which include polka dot-like prints, raincoats that almost had bustles in the back (on a woman besides a model, they probably would bustle) and bright pops of color that were practically beaming off of the white walls.
