Breaking news, everybody, Anna Wintour is going to London this week—well, her portrait is, anyway. The National Portrait Gallery in London has acquired artist Alex Katz's portrait of the legendary Vogue editor. The Art Media Agency reports: "Anna is the first portrait ever produced of Wintour and also the first of Katz’s works to join the museum’s collections. The piece was produced at the end of 2009 whilst the notorious Brit posed in the artist’s studio. With a price tag of £125,000, the portrait was acquired with the help of a £45,000 grant from the Art Fund." [AMA]A
