What could literally be described as a cowboy's wildest dream, Jeremy Scott's Spring 2012 collection consisted of western themed garments and models sporting drawn on freckles, Elly May Clampett hair styles, and gun holsters. It was only the tip of the iceberg when Scott sent models out to the revving motorcycle soundbite of Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" in metallic mesh red bandanas and light wash denim.
As the show went on and the fiddle music started pumping the more outrageous designs via the designer's reputation emerged, including multiple chaps-thong combinations on male and female models alike. One of our personal favorite garments was the gold metallic mesh potato sack dress. Other hog-wild ensembles included pvc cow print vests with tinsel fringe, a foam-poly strapless barrel dress and cactus themes in many forms. Some of the it cowboys of the night included so-hot-right-now models Andrej Pejic and River Viiperi (neither of who sported the assless chaps).
Imagine these models strolling down the runway to the bridge in the Rednex' "Cotton Eye Joe" remix, because that actually happened:—Payton Wang
