This Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Shiseido's brilliant Artistic Director Dick Page will make his first-ever West Coast PA at the Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. Consultations with Page will be available by appointment only—appointments can be booked via phone on 714-549-8300 ext. 1070.
Coincidentally, this afternoon, we popped by the penthouse suite at the Cooper Square Hotel, where Shiseido hosted its fall product preview. In a high-tech-old-school twist, the preview was done by iPod—like an audio tour at a museum. We went from numbered station to numbered station listening to Page talk us through all the amazing new skincare products, tools (the perfect foundation brush is amazing!), and new eyeshadow colors for fall. We love the story about how Page came up with the black cream eyeshadow (called "Caviar")—he bought a bunch of caviar, dumped it all in his bathtub, took some photos, and then sent the pics off to Shiseido HQ and told them he wanted the color to look like that. Brilliant.
Check out our photo gallery of some of the great new products, above. We're especially obsessed with the Future Solution LX Ultimate Regenerating Serum) which, when applied, contains the teeniest tiniest capsules that help preserve the integrity of the active ingredient—so it doesn't get released/stale before it touches your face. Love! Also, check out this great short video Dick Page Takes New York starring Page and his cute dog going to all Page's favorite haunts in New York.
