Alain Mikli, designer of beautiful french eyewear, opened his first West Coast boutique (and fourth-ever US standalone store) in San Francisco's Union Square yesterday. The shop, designed by Philippe Starck, carries both Alain Mikli and Starck Eyes specs. For a limited time, in celebration of the launch, the new boutique will sell a special collection of vintage pieces from Alain Mikli's private collection.

The company plans to open a fifth standalone boutique in Beverly Hills later this fall.
