Meet Etta, One of Wolverine No. 1883's First-Ever Women's Shoes

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Footwear brand Wolverine No. 1883 has been around, well, since 1883, and they're known for their rugged and comfortable styles. But in all that time, they haven't made women's shoes until right now. The above shoe—the "Etta"—is one style from the three-piece women's Wolverine No. 1883 Collection that's currently available on the brand's website and at EddieBauer.com. The other two styles? Both boots: One equestrian, and one with a lot of buckles.
