Ke$ha for Casio

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Because it's never to late to capitalize on a song that came out in 2009, Ke$ha has designed two watches for Casio. (Because of the "TiK ToK" song—get it?) Formerly just their brand ambassador, she had this to say about the design job: "This experience with Casio is so exciting because it's my first collaboration as a designer and it's extra meaningful because I wrote my first single 'TiK ToK' on a Casio keyboard." She made two watches—a leopard print one and a red, white, and a blue one—and both retail for $120. But the most newsworthy nugget out of this is she only has glitter on her face in one of the ads.
