Comme's New Concept Store

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Comme des Garcons creative head honcho Rei Kawakubo is transforming the Comme annex, across the courtyard from the brand's flagship in Paris, into an experimental concept space called Trading Museum. WWD reports: "Housing everything from bullet-shaped ceramics by James Salaiz to shoe-handbag hybrids by A’N’D, the Paris unit will introduce European shoppers to a range of cult and emerging labels. These include new Kawakubo protégé Ganryu, who has his own brand under the Comme des Garçons umbrella in the vein of Junya Watanabe and Tao." The store opening (and new fragrance launch) will take place this Friday. [WWD]
