Earlier this week, the fashion blogosphere exploded, with everyone talking about how skinny Kate Winslet looked in this, above left, Stella McCartney "Miracle Dress"—a $1,595 white-on-black hourglass-silhouette dress that's been spotted on celebs including Liv Tyler, Nicole Scherzinger, and La La Anthony.
"It’s like retouching your body with a frock," celebrity stylist June Ambrose told the NY Post. "It keeps your meat neat. It’s like a girdle, and gives you that svelte silhouette. In my opinion, this is the perfect dress." Even Jezebel called the dress "gorgeous," "flattering," and "magical"—"It is quite glamorous," the Jezzies write—and they hardly like anything fashion-y!
Anyway, in case you can't find the Stella McCartney dress (we're pretty sure it's already sold out) or don't want to shell out the big bucks, we found this TFNC knock-off—available in blue or plum—over at ASOS.com. The TFNC dress is colorblocked in an hourglass shape, just like the Stella dress, but features a more forgiving draped cowl-neckline for a softer finish. Oh, and it's priced at $82.33—a mere 5% of the price of McCartney's creation.
P.S. ASOS offers free shipping and returns. Double-win!
