Fashion photographer Steven Meisel is making waves in the publishing world—he's been accused of pillaging his own concept for both the August issue of Vogue Italia and the September issue of W. "The fallout will be worth watching," writes WWD. "If it damages W’s relationship with Meisel, [Stefano] Tonchi [Editor of W] will lose out on a big-name photographer he’s craved for the magazine. If Tonchi doesn’t act, it will demonstrate the lengths a fashion magazine editor will go to appease a photographer who holds considerable influence in the industry." [WWD]
