Hyden Yoo's presentation of his spring 2012 collection might be described as airy, exotic, or possibly even sea-worthy. The location's open air porch offset by the mahogany walls and bar evoked the feeling of a yacht club party (where some of the guests are having a better time than others). Models clustered in groups openly chat, lounged on a patch of grass, or sat and looked sultry—all to the romantic tunes of yesteryear. The women's bright red lips and 1920s-inspired wavy bobs adds to the amorously nostalgic feel of the line. The womenswear was a mix of diaphanous cropped tops and light jackets paired with long cotton and silk voile skirts. Two notable pieces include adorable high-waisted white shorts with a beige cuff and a trench-turned-cape number. —Kenzie Bryant
