Missoni for Target Blogger @MarinaWithStyle is a 25-Foot Tall Doll

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you've been following the Missoni for Target marketing campaign, you'll be well familiar with Marina, the much-anticipated collaboration's official Tumblr blogger. We've been promised, for weeks, that Marina would land in New York in time for fashion week, and, well, she has. Turns out Target's Marina is actually a 25-foot tall doll/mannequin—and yes, she's wearing a gigantic Missoni for Target dress (and tights!). She'll be tweeting her whereabouts all week from @MarinaWithStyle—find her and get snapped with her giant smartphone as she hops from venue to venue. Bonus: She's got free high-speed wifi embedded in her, so wherever she goes, so does the internet. Don't have a smartphone? You can also text her from your mobile at +1-917-409-7260—and she'll text right back.

Here's Marina's schedule:

Wednesday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m: Milk Studios (450 West 15th Street) - International Fashion Bloggers Conference.

Thursday, Sept. 8, 8 to 10 a.m.: Standard Hotel Courtyard (13th Street & Washington)

Thursday, Sept. 8, 4 to 6 p.m.: Bryant Park Fountain (41st Street and Sixth Ave.)

Thursday, Sept. 8, 8 to 9 p.m.: Outside Missoni flagship (Madison and 78th Street)
