The two most important bits of Fashion News this week: Fashion Week gets rolling in New York today and The Rachel Zoe Project premiered its fourth season on Bravo last night.
A quick recap: Rachel, defying all scientific logic, is happily, healthily pregnant. Brad left to spend time with his boyfriend and dog and take a break from the limelight, then waited a week before showing up at events touting a new TV series and book. Jordan is the new lead stylist; and the company has expanded, encompassing four offices. The Rachel Zoe Collection—Rachel's contemporary line—is about to premier. That craziness is compounded by the search for a new house (it looks like they'll be leasing a 7000 square foot mansion with a $20,000 a month lease). Finally, the crew is growing—Rachel just added an essentially experience-less gay to the staff because she thought he was cute and made her (not us) laugh.
Oh, Rachel is still a BlackBerry.
10.) When Rodger catches her in a secret new Chanel jacket: "It's a good one though, isn't it?" The key to this moment: her shit-eating grin.
9.) The other Rachel Zoe Collection: "Me and my peanut and Rodger and you and my nanny ?"
8.) She was a little bummed about having a boy for like two seconds. Then: "I feel like I'm going to dress [Rodger] and my little guy the same;" in "a leather jacket and combat boots."
7.) "It's not like things have slowed down because I'm knocked up."
6.) "I could suck up anything for fashion if I didn't think it was genuinely like squashing my child."
5.) On life actually being good and being photographed for Elle along with Rodger and her pregnant-ness: "? Wearing Givenchy, six months pregnant, in a picture with my husband, wearing silk Tom Ford pajamas, in this beautiful hotel ?"
4.) Oh, here's why Rachel hired who she hired (to his face): "You're clearly a very handsome boy ? Man."
3.) Oh, here's why Rachel hired who she hired (after he left): "So cute ? And he made me laugh ? That's important ? God knows [Roger doesn't] make me laugh ? Such a cute face ?"
2.) "Shut" is the new shut-up. Economical!
1.) "Yay, clothes!"
