Showing two separate collections in one show may have seemed like a risky idea off the bat, but, for spring 2012, mixing it up at Richard Chai made perfect sense. The bold mixed print collection—interspersed with vibrant colorblocked solids—felt modern and young and, probably most important of all, is different and cool without being too different or at all self-aware. Check out some great print shots—yes, we really have a thing for prints—from the runway after the jump. There was also blue lipstick and sportsman Dwyane Wade, so we have backstage shots of all that too.
During the show, Wade was seated between Vogue's basketball-loving Hamish Bowles (love!) and the magazine's entertainment editor Jill Demling. Backstage, Wade joked it up with Chai and model Erin Wasson.
