Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Buz Luhrmann's remake of The Great Gatsby isn't even done filming yet, and already flapper mania is hitting our favorite shopping sites. Net-a-Porter has a Jazz Age-inspired capsule up right now, featuring knee-skimming dresses with illusion lace detailing from Alberta Ferretti, Marc Jacobs, and Stella McCartney, plus a bevy of dangly earrings and low-heeled shoes to go with.
Thom Browne also designed flapper-inspired looks for spring—though he told WWD that the connection to Luhrmann's Gatsby remake was purely coincidence.
And Ralph Lauren, who created the wardrobe for the original Gatsby movie, sent a collection of Roaring '20s looks down the runway, as well. They should be available on RalphLauren.com in the coming weeks.
No word yet on when the much-anticipated Tiffany & Co. jewelry collection for the film will be available, but rest assured we'll let you know as soon as we do.
In the meantime, click through the gallery above to see our favorite Gatsby-inspired looks, plus stills from the in-progress film, which stars Carey Mulligan in costumes—including one super-rad headscarf—by Luhrmann's wife, Catherine Martin.
