At a Financo Forum panel for majorly important retail executives on Monday, J. Crew's outspoken CEO Mickey Drexler had a lot to say about the malls of America. WWD reports that Drexler, who was in the audience at a panel hosted at New York's Harmonie Club, had a laundry list of complaints, including but not limited to: the smell of mall popcorn infiltrating a J. Crew shop, those mall kiosks selling "inferior" product, and the cost of rent. Mall developer Robert Taubman summed it up nicely when he responded, “Mickey, God bless you. It’s not like you haven’t made a living off shopping malls, maybe two livings compared to a lot of us.”
