Naturally, Versace for H&M Resort Has Made Its Way to eBay

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today was the day for those overseas who wanted to get their hands on the fruity Versace for H&M resort collection, except that Fashionista reports that the H&M website crashed this morning, leaving lots of customers very sad at their computers. At 6:30am, they tweeted this apology: "We're very sorry for the tech problems during today's #VersaceforHM launch. We're working on expanding capacity for more visitors." Later, they gave an official statement, formerly apologizing for not realizing just how many people actually wanted this stuff.

So, now what? Shop it on eBay. If interested, here's the link for the 49 50 items currently available to US eBay customers, with the most expensive piece being this black duffel bag for $429. A small price to pay for nylon canvas, a detachable strap, some leather detailing, and that refined logo.
