Trina Turk for Banana Republic, via WWD
Banana Republic is the polished, sensible older sister of women's mass-market retail, but it looks like the brand wants to have a little fun this summer, too. In a new collaboration with So-Cal designer Trina Turk, the brand is getting into a Palm Springs state of mind with 60 pieces featuring Turk's signature bright jewel colors and prints, reports WWD this morning, including a deep teal patterned one-shoulder dress named Coachella, named for the California music festival. Prices for the collection range from $49.50 for shorts, $150 for a printed dress, and $58 for a bikini bottom.
The collection doesn't hit stores until June, well after Coachella's last joint will have been smoked, but it's probably for the best that you don't wear your nice new clothes to sleep in a tent in the desert, anyway.
