In addition to all the usual wonderful summer things like barbecues and the beach, this summer brings us the London Olympics. As the host country, the UK is under pressure to perform well and look good and, luckily, they've just gotten some help in the latter category. Pantene, Olay, and Max Factor have all inked sponsorships with prominent British athletes.

World champion track cyclist Victoria Pendleton is the new ambassador for Pantene Pro-V's "Smooth & Sleek" line—a woman who can spend that much time working out on a bike and still have long, shiny hair is an excellent fit for the brand. Swimmer Keri-Anne Payne will be the face of Max Factor's new False Lash Effect Gold Mascara, and Jessica Ennis, who competes in the heptathlon and pentathlon, will appear in ads for Olay Essentials. Somehow, we have a good idea what kinds of commercials might appear between all the diving and track events this summer.
