Raf Simons is determined to put his own stamp on things at Dior. First up, he showed a debut collection that had fashion editors slobbering all over themselves. Now, he's adding a new celebrity face to the lineup: Jennifer Lawrence. The Hunger Games star will be the new face of Miss Dior handbags, which probably means she's replacing Mila Kunis, who fronted the campaign previously. (Is that the punishment for publicly sucking face with Ashton Kutcher?) "Her youth and her classic beauty, but also her force of character and the complexity she's capable of embodying at such a young age, are, for me, both unique and very moving," said Simons.
Although Lawrence was nominated for an Oscar in 2011 for her role in Winter's Bone, she's just now getting taken seriously by the fashion world, as this month's British Vogue cover indicates. Now, let's all speculate on which Dior dress she'll wear to the Catching Fire premiere.
