And Rodarte's Next Collab Is With ... Starbucks?

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The most glam gift card ever?

Rodarte is no stranger to collabs, but they tend to think highbrow - Opening Ceremony, Swarovski, MAC. Which is why their latest collab announcement came as a surprise to us - Starbucks. Yeah, that Starbucks.

Businessweek announced that the Mulleavy sisters are teaming up with the coffee chain on limited-edition products, including mugs, tote bags, drink sleeves, and gift cards. Though the goodies will be tied to the holiday season (they'll appear starting November 13), they're not specifically holiday-themed. They'll be based around a gray, white, and silver pixellated pattern on green backgrounds.

Starbucks notes that this is their "first" fashion collab, which makes it pretty clear that they hope to have more such partnerships in the future. If Karl Lagerfeld created a Karl-head-shaped Starbucks card, we would be first in line to buy it.
